-One more drastic step against China

-China has been running horizontally for some time now

China has been dealing unfairly with India for some time now. Unnecessary tension is being created at the border. In response, India is taking economic action against China. Now India decided to take one more drastic step. People coming from China will now be strictly screened before being issued a visa.

A spokesperson for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that from now on, Chinese businessmen, educators, industry experts and advocacy groups will have to get special clearance for visas. Earlier, such a drastic action was taken against the citizens of Pakistan.

The State Department spokesman provided the information on condition of anonymity. At the same time, the treaty between the universities of the two countries under the 54 Memorandum of Understanding between India and China will be reconsidered. In particular, the Indian Institute of Technology, Benaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other educational institutions with Chinese educational institutions will also be reconsidered. IIT, Benaras Hindu University and JNU are affiliated with Hanban, an international Chinese institution teaching Chinese. Except for Mandarin language courses, all Chinese courses and agreements with Chinese institutions will be canceled. These Chinese institutions have a good influence on policy makers, think tanks, political parties and the business world. Now concrete steps will be taken to reduce that influence.

According to Tani Madane, a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution in Washington, India has made a number of decisions in the past few weeks that could reduce its dependence on China and reduce India's direct contact with Chinese institutions in various fields. These measures were taken to keep China under pressure without a direct fight with China.
