Scientists have identified the sequence of symptoms of the corona virus, which will help in the treatment of patients

U.S.A. scientists have identified a sequence of possible symptoms of Covid-19 in humans. According to the report, a person infected with the corona virus develops a fever, followed by a cough, muscle aches, and then restlessness, vomiting, and diarrhea. One of the benefits of knowing the Covid-19 symptom sequence may be that it can help patients get treatment right away or help them decide on self-isolation as soon as possible.

According to research published in the journal Frontiers in Public Health, identifying the order of symptoms can help doctors plan patients' treatment and perhaps help control the disease early. "This sequence is especially important in knowing when we cross the cycle of flu-like illnesses that are a symptom of the Covid-19 infection," said Peter Coon, a researcher at the University of Southern California.

Joseph Larsen, another author of the study, said that it now provides a better perspective on the treatment of Covid-19, which can identify patients already hospitalized. Fever and cough are often associated with a variety of respiratory illnesses, including Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and SARS. However, Covid-19 can be identified by looking at the symptoms in the upper and lower gastrointestinal tract.

The scientists wrote that the upper gastrointestinal tract (restlessness / vomiting) seems to be affected before the lower gastrointestinal tract (diarrhea). Which is a feature of Covid-19 and is in contrast to MERS and SARS. The researchers predicted the sequence of symptoms of the infection, based on the rate of occurrence of more than 55,000 coronavirus cases in China collected from the World Health Organization.
