Russia slaps, prepares corona vaccine Vaccination from October amid suspicions of other countries

Russia claims to have tested at all levels despite pending third-stage clinical trial

The World Health Organization will approve after review

Moscow, Ta. Tuesday, August 11, 2020

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced today that he has developed a corona vaccine. Russia has become the first country to make such a vaccine. Putin announced on television that he had vaccinated his daughter along with other patients. Like all patients, he is in good health.

It usually takes a couple of years and sometimes decades for the vaccine to be ready. But with Russia preparing the vaccine within months of the countdown, some countries are skeptical of the vaccine's safety. Putin clarified the suspicion that he had done all the tests before the vaccine was used, without compromising safety.

"We are in touch with the Russian government," he told the World Health Organization. The vaccine has been approved by the Russian government, but not by the World Health Organization. That is why the organization said that only after a thorough study of the vaccine can we say anything about its suitability. In addition, the organization said that some of the vaccines being developed around the world have reached the final stage, even without the Russian vaccine.

There are three stages of a clinical trial on a human being. Six vaccines that have reached the third stage of clinical trials are being developed worldwide, according to the Healthruth Organization. It does not have the Russian vaccine. Because this vaccine has not crossed that stage. The vaccine is yet to be tested in the third phase, which can be said to be difficult. Thousands of people will be vaccinated at that time.

The vaccine was developed by the Gemalaya Institute in Mako, Russia. According to Putin, the vaccine works to develop antibodies. Russia plans to carry out mass vaccinations from October.

At present, the vaccine will be given first to medical workers and teachers treating covid. After that, its use will gradually increase. Russia has the second highest number of corona cases at 30, after the United States, with more than 1 million deaths.

There are 139 institute-laboratory vaccines being prepared in the world. Russia is currently ahead in this. But the World Health Organization is advising Russia to be cautious before using the vaccine in a hurry.

Vaccine name: 'Sputnik-Five'

Russia has named the vaccine Sputnik-Five. Russia launched the world's first satellite, Sputnik-1, in 1957. Then two other satellites named A were launched. At the time, there was fierce competition between Russia and the United States over who would send the first satellite. There is a similar competition in the corona vaccine and this time the competition is not only between the US and Russia but also between many countries. But he is particularly happy that Russia has overtaken the United States. That is why it has been given this historical name.

Reasons for distrust of the vaccine

- Russia has not disclosed all information about the vaccine.

- The third phase of the human trial is pending. Tests on the safety and security of the vaccine have not been made public.

- Russian hackers tried to steal details of vaccines being prepared in other countries of the world.

Caution is required even after vaccination

Getting a vaccine does not mean that the disease will be eradicated immediately. It is possible that corona may be effective in some bodies even after vaccination. After years of polio vaccination, the number of polio cases in the world is negligible. The only disease in the world that has been completely eradicated by the vaccine is smallpox. Many other vaccines, which work to control the epidemic, cannot be completely eradicated. So even if this vaccine is successful, it cannot be ignored, believing that it can eradicate the corona.

Where has the Indian vaccine reached?

The vaccine is also being prepared in India. The government has approved the vaccine to Bharat Biotech Company. The vaccine has reached the first and second stages of testing. Clinical trials of the vaccine are underway in various centers across the country. The vaccine, called Kovixin, will be tested before it is launched in the market, Bharat Biotech officials said. There were also reports that the company was under pressure to get the vaccine as soon as possible (by August 15). But the company does not want to rush into the vaccine by compromising with the scientific process.

Countries including India interested in Russia's vaccine

"We have received requests for the vaccine from about 20 countries," said Russia's health minister. The total demand is going to be 1 billion doses. Russia is currently producing the vaccine on two fronts. India is also among the 20 countries of interest.

* Putin's daughter had a fever of 38 degrees when she was vaccinated. The drop after vaccination was a little over 37 degrees. I.e. had a slight fever. A second dose of the vaccine was then given. After which she was healed. Putin has two daughters, Maria and Katrina. It was not immediately clear who was vaccinated.

* This vaccine combines two different ingredients, which together increase and sustain immunity for a long period of time. Russia said the vaccine was effective for two years.

* US Health Secretary Alex Azar said it does not matter who makes the vaccine quickly. But it is important that the vaccine is safe. He said work was also underway on six vaccines in the United States

* Russia still started the trial on June 18 and managed to reach the final stage in less than two months.

* The vaccine is likely to become widespread from January 2021. That is, it will then be made available in a way that anyone can take the dose.
