Prime Minister Narendra Modi today hoisted the tricolor from the Red Fort for the seventh time

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today addressed the nation from the Red Fort by waving the flag for the seventh time to celebrate Independence Day 2020. According to a Defense Ministry statement, the guard of honor saluting the Prime Minister included one each from the Army, Navy and Delhi Police and 24 jawans. Major Shweta Pandey assisted Prime Minister Modi in hoisting the national flag.

After the Prime Minister reached the Lahore Gate of the Red Fort at 7:18 am, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Defense Secretary Dr. He was led by Ajay Kumar.
