One lakh was deposited in the bank before the Pulwama attack

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) said in its indictment that Masood Azhar's nephew Muhammad Umar Farooq had deposited Rs 10 lakh in a Pakistani bank in connection with the February 14, 2019 terrorist attack in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. According to the NIA, the investigation revealed that the money was deposited in three of Farooq's accounts. About one lakh Pakistani rupees was deposited in Allied Bank and Mejan Bank. This amount was deposited between January and February 2019 by Jaish-e-Muhammad's akaos.

Forty CRPF personnel were killed in the Pulwama attack. The terrorists bought explosives and a Maruti Echo car worth Rs six lakh. The car was filled with explosives. However, Farooq was later shot dead by Indian security forces in a clash. The NIA further said that out of the remaining amount of Rs 10 lakh, the terrorists had bought ammonium nitrate and 200 kg of explosives for Rs 280,000.

RDX was brought from Pakistan while Mudassir Ahmed bought gelatin sticks and Wazi ul Islam four kilograms of aluminum powder and calcium ammonium nitrate from Indian soil.

The car was fitted with IEDs in two containers. The total weight of both containers was 160 kg which was to fly the CRPF fleet. 40 kg of explosives were used to detonate.

The chargesheet further stated that accused Bashir had sheltered all these explosives and terrorists in his house where the IEDs were prepared.

The Maruti Eco car purchased for the attack was modified for the attack and the car was parked outside Shakir's house.
