New twist in Bangalore violence: 40 accused linked to terrorists and rioters

Violence erupted on August 11 in Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka. Three people were killed and 60 policemen were injured. So far 380 people have been arrested in the investigation of the incident. That is when the investigation into the violence took a new turn. Investigations have revealed that those who carried out the incident had connections with terrorists and insurgents. Has close contact with terrorists and sectarian attackers. The probe team has also identified people linked to the accused in the 2014 Church Street blast in Bangalore.

The investigation team has also found evidence that points to a network whose job is to incite such communal violence. Such organizations have become much stronger in the last few years. Many of the 380 suspects arrested have links to organizations such as the Social Democratic Party and the Al Hind terrorist group. According to police, about 40 of the arrested accused have links with the Church Street blast, Malleswaram blast and other sectarian violence.

Police on Wednesday arrested an accused named Samiuddin, who identified himself as a social worker. His interrogation revealed that he was in touch with the main accused in the murder of an RSS activist in October 2016 and once went to jail to meet him. Police are investigating the phone records of 27 of the 380 people who played a key role in inciting the violence.
