The Army has killed a militant in a clash between militants and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir. The army cordoned off two militants hiding in an apple orchard in Kamarajipora area of ​​Pulwama district. A militant has since been shot dead in the encounter. There is also news that a young man was martyred in the clash.

The clashes reportedly started at around 2 am on Wednesday and an army jawan was injured during the encounter. He was rushed to Army Hospital in Srinagar. However, the jawan was martyred during the treatment and there are reports that another jawan was also injured. The injured man was rushed to a hospital for treatment and doctors said his condition was stable.

Officials reported the clash via Twitter. The search operation was carried out on the basis of information that two militants were hiding and one militant was shot dead in the encounter, the tweet said. Proceedings are currently underway to find another terrorist and the encounter will end soon. The identities of the terrorists have not yet come to light.
