Heavy rains in the capital Delhi: Ther ther water flooded, traffic jams

Heavy rains in the country's capital, New Delhi, turned most of the roads into lakes and caused traffic jams. In North Delhi in particular, the Jakhira underpass was flooded to the point where an entire car sank and a driver drowned. The man in the car was rescued by people. Overnight rains turned Delhi into a sea. A Delhi Transport bus, a tractor, an auto rickshaw and a car were trapped in the Jakhira underpass. Cars and rickshaws were rescued but the bus remained stranded for hours.

Heavy rains inundated Delhi Railway Station, Dwarka Underpass, Raisina Road, Teen Murti Road, Udyog Bhavan, ITO and other areas. The result was a traffic jam. A line of vehicles was seen in the distance. The worst situation was on Maneksha Road. The meteorological department still forecast heavy rains.

Rains have lashed Delhi, North India and Northeast India in recent times. Extreme levels of flood danger were announced in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Bihar and other places, leaving millions stranded. The roads leading to Mussoorie, Badrinath and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand were hit by a cliff. As a result, the National Highway was closed and traffic jams were reported on this highway as well. Many villages in Bihar were flooded by the Kosi river.
