Beijing, Ta. Saturday 29 August 2020

The city of Wuhan, the city in China from which the coronavirus virus began to spread around the world, is now preparing to reopen a school.

Regarding the reopening of the school college, local officials said Wuhan would reopen all its schools and kindergartens. The local government announced this on Friday. Wuhan's 2,842 educational institutions are ready to open their doors to about 1.4 million students. Wuhan University reopened on Monday.

Emergency plans have been drawn up to return to online education to change the level of risk, officials said. Students are advised to go outside the school and wear a mask and avoid public transport if possible.

The school has been instructed to stockpile disease control devices and conduct study and training sessions to help prepare for the prevention of new infections. They have also been advised to ban unnecessary mass ceremonies and report to health officials on a daily basis.

Foreign students and teachers who have not been notified by the school will not be allowed to return, officials said.

This Chinese city is considered to be the epicenter of the Corona epidemic. It was closed for more than two months in late January. The city accounts for 80% of all deaths from corona in China. Corona has killed 3,869 people in the city.
