Intelligence agency statement

The firing was also confirmed by the Secret Service Agency. A young man has been taken to hospital with a Secret Agent following a shooting incident in a block of the White House at 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, the tweet said. Trump said he did not know the young man's identity or motive for the shooting. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. When President Trump was asked if the young man had a weapon, he answered "yes." He further added that he was surprised by the incident at the White House premises but did not find any flaws in the safety protocol.

Incident of firing in the mouth of a protester

Currently the situation in and around the White House is under control. Philip Molaku, who has been protesting outside the White House for several years, said he heard gunshots at 5:50 p.m. A large police force then rushed to the spot and the surrounding roads were blocked. Protesters say loud noises were heard before the shooting and several Secret Service agents were seen taking their positions on the loan.

Appreciation of the Secret Service

Returning to the podium after the incident, Trump seemed very calm. When the press conference resumed, he was asked if he had any concerns, to which he replied, "There is nothing unexpected about this because the world has always been a dangerous place." Trump praised his Secret Service agents, saying that in a very short time he had overcome the situation and that he always felt safe, instinctive in his presence.
