Dark day in Delhi - heavy rain started, traffic jams were created

The country's capital, New Delhi, was hit by heavy rains on Wednesday morning, August 19, and darkness fell on a white day. The sky was covered with black clouds.

The weather in Delhi and NCR suddenly changed and darkness fell on the day when heavy clouds were blowing. Vehicles running on the roads were forced to turn on the headlights. Many low-lying areas were flooded and traffic jams were reported.

The meteorological department had forecast heavy rains from today to Friday. Even on Tuesday, the weather in Delhi was blue all day but it did not rain. It had started to rain this morning. The humidity in the capital was 98 percent.

The meteorological department said that it would continue to rain in Delhi till August 25. But torrential rain was expected for three days from today.

This year, rains and floods in rivers across northern India, including Delhi, continued to wail. Millions of people in Uttarakhand, Bihar and Assam were adversely affected by the floods. In Bihar alone, more than 80 lakh people were inundated and more than 18 rivers were overflowing.

The meteorological department had forecast heavy rains across northern India. The government system was proving to be a dwarf against nature.
