Corona effect: Ganpati Pandal will not take place in Delhi, procession will not take place on Moharram

Processions in Delhi during Moharram will be banned in compliance with the central government's guideline on the Koro epidemic. The Delhi government, under a public order issued by the Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), has also banned the erection of public idols or pandals on Ganesh Chaturthi.

The DDMA has appealed to people to observe the festival at home in view of the threat of coronary heart disease. At the same time, the DDMA has directed all the concerned departments to strictly adhere to the guidelines issued by the Central Government.

The DDMA also directed the District Disaster Management Authority, District Magistrate to take necessary steps to prevent the spread of corona in Delhi in view of the upcoming events and ceremonies to be held during the upcoming festivals.
