Congratulations to Shah despite his wrongdoing with Kashmir: Mehbooba Mufti's daughter

New delhi date. 3 August 2020, Monday

August 5, 2019- On this day, Article 370 was abolished from Jammu and Kashmir and it is now one day to complete one year. Local political parties, including the Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party (PDP), were unhappy with the abolition of the state's special status.

"If the political forces of Jammu and Kashmir do not fight for the state, Articles 370 and 35A, they will lose their political ground and their identity," said Iltija Mufti, daughter of PDP leader and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, in an interview. He also termed August 5 as Black Day.

Iltija Mufti said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Ayodhya sends the wrong message. By going to Ayodhya, Prime Minister Modi wants to divert people's attention from the failed economy, inflation and unemployment. He also said that he wished Amit Shah a speedy recovery. According to him, even though he (Amit Shah) did wrong to us, he himself is working for his complete recovery.

"The Home Ministry and the Prime Minister's Office should answer why my mother is still in custody," Iltija Mufti said. Iltija said the Modi government has stripped the state of sections 370 and 35A. It will lose its credibility if the mainstream parties do not fight.

According to Iltija, the deployment of paramilitary forces in Kashmir has only increased over the last one year and barricades have increased. People's voices are being suppressed and UAPA is being imposed on people even for making jokes. "August 5 is not a historic day for us," Iltija said in an earlier interview. August 5th is Black Day for us. I cannot answer the question as to why the Home Ministry has kept my mother in custody. The message is that he wants to make my mother's case an example. '
