Big relief for H-1B visa holders, conditional permission to return to US, Indians will benefit

Washington, Ta. Thursday 13 August 2020

The United States has eased its visa restrictions there. Which will benefit Indians a lot. The United States has imposed visa bans in the wake of the Corona virus outbreak. The Trump administration has relaxed rules for H1B visa holders. So that they could enter America. The largest number of Indians go to the US through this visa.

The Trump administration has said it is making some concessions to rules designed for H-1B visa holders. So that they can come to the United States. However, a condition has been laid down for this. The administration has said that these visa holders will have to return to do the same job they were doing before the visa ban.

Dependents will also be allowed to travel with primary visa holders, a State Department adviser said. The departmental adviser said only one employer and those resuming their old jobs are allowed to come.

The Trump administration has also allowed travel to technical specialists, senior-level administrators, and other workers who are H-1B visa holders and whose travel is necessary to facilitate the immediate and sustained economic situation in the United States.

The Corona virus epidemic has had a significant impact on the United States, which is why this decision has been taken. The U.S. administration has exempted visa holders working as public health or health care professionals or researchers to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic or to conduct ongoing medical research in areas with significant public health benefits.

On June 22, US President Donald Trump temporarily suspended some employment-based US visa programs. His decision shattered the hopes of millions of job seekers in the United States.

What is an H-1B visa?

Under the H-1B visa, U.S. companies hire professionals from other countries for technical or specialized positions. Tech companies in the US employ thousands of South Asian professionals through these visas. Under this visa, a large number of Indian and Chinese businessmen go and work in the United States. Employees with higher education are employed by the U.S. government on these visas.
