Approach road to Bangra Ghat bridge collapses before Nitish Kumar inaugurates in Bihar

In Bihar, another case of bridge approach road breaking has come to light. The approach road to the mega bridge is broken even before it is inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The approach road of Bangara Ghat Bridge at Chhapra has collapsed. A sum of Rs 509 crore has been spent for the bridge and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to inaugurate it today.

It is learned that the approach road of Bangara Ghat Bridge has broken due to the breach of Saran Dam in Baikunthpur. The approach road to the bridge has collapsed in an area of ​​about 50 meters. Top officials of the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation rushed to the spot and more than two JCB machines and several laborers were engaged in repairs.

In this regard, Gopalganj's RJD wrote in a tweet that, 'The bridge of Bangara Ghat in Gopalganj which broke down just before the inauguration by the Chief Minister. Now the BJP-JDU supporters will shout that the approach road is broken, not the bridge, as if the approach road was built by the opposition. The Chief Minister will inaugurate this event as it is common nowadays to inaugurate any new, old, dilapidated, broken items.

Approximately 11 km of approach road has been constructed on the roof side of Bangra Ghat Bridge and 8 km on Muzaffarpur side. A sum of Rs 509 crore has been spent for the bridge and approach road.

Earlier, the approach road of a small bridge built at Sattarghat in Gopalganj collapsed. Minister Nand Kishore Yadav informed that there are 3 small bridges in Sattarghat bridge. The approach of the small bridge 2 km away from Sattarghat bridge has been broken only due to the rapid flow of water. The Sattarghat bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 264 crore.
