With the US presidential election approaching, President Donald Trump was in for a shock. His lifelong Republican ally, John R. Kasich, defected and backed Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

According to a New York Times report, Kasich was scheduled to address a meeting of the Democratic Party on Monday night, according to American time, and to announce his support for Joe Biden. Senator Kasich, a former governor of Ohio, also ran against Trump in 2016 for the presidency. Kasich is considered one of the leaders of the Republican Party. "I'm still a Republican," he said. I did not have the strength to see the country become more ruined. I thought Trump would change over time but that didn't happen. The soul of the country is being crushed. I can't sit still at that time. "I am just happy to see the situation," he said.

However, according to a survey, only 38 percent of Democrats welcomed Kasich. The argument of these people was that Biden does not need to attract Republican senators, he needs to attract voters.

Kasich has been a vocal opponent of Trump for the past four years. "I personally don't mind Trump," he said. But the country can never rise high if timely action is not taken. I also oppose Biden. There are differences with that too but now it is in the interest of the nation. However, Trump's publicity officer, Tim Mortgage, said Kasich's departure would not make a difference to Trump.
