72 hours before the monsoon session of the Lok Sabha, MPs and their families will undergo a corona test

The country's parliament has been closed since the lockdown was imposed in March. Which is now about to begin. The monsoon session of Parliament will begin in September. However, no official announcement has been made yet. According to sources, the monsoon session of Parliament is likely to begin on September 14. Preparations for this monsoon session of Parliament are also in full swing.

In view of the Korona epidemic, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla has ordered that every MP be tested for Korona 72 hours before the start of the monsoon session. Not only the MPs but every staff member coming to the Parliament House will also be subjected to Corona test. Om Birla says that it is our priority to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament. For which all necessary preparations will be made.

Om Birla had a meeting with the secretaries and authorities of both the houses to make arrangements during the monsoon session. Apart from this, Om Birla also held a meeting with health officials, including DRDO, on Thursday. AIIMS and ICMR officials also joined the meeting. It is worth mentioning that all these preparations are being made in view of the Koro epidemic. It is also a challenge to start parliamentary proceedings in this time of epidemic.

The seating arrangement is being changed to maintain social distance in Parliament. This is the first time in the history of the Indian Parliament that such a change has taken place. According to sources, the monsoon session of Parliament will run from September 14 to October 1.
