Corona seemed to be taking more and more victims day by day. On Wednesday, 66,999 cases of corona were reported in the country in a single day and the death toll rose to 942 in a single day. The total number of corona positive cases in the country now stood at 23 lakh 96 thousand 638 with 6,53,622 active cases and the death toll reached 47,033.

Earlier on Wednesday, 60,963 new cases of corona were reported during the next 24 hours and 834 patients died. In fact, on August 7, Corona's case surpassed 20 million in the country. Then in less than five days, three lakh new cases were reported. Thus Corona was now dealing with black care. The gap between the number of people who recovered and the number of cases of corona positive was now widening. The number of fully recovered people was over one million.

Maharashtra was number one among the most affected states. There were 18,050 deaths in Maharashtra and currently there are five lakh 24 thousand 513 cases. Tamil Nadu came in second with 3,02,815 cases and 5041 deaths. Then came the southern states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. After these two states, it was Delhi's turn. Health experts believe that people do not believe in self-discipline and do not adhere to masks as well as social distance. In some markets, the transition does not slow down due to overcrowding. State governments should take precise steps to create awareness among the people. Apart from that the infection was less likely to be controlled.
