10 killed as crane falls on Hindustan Shipyard Ltd at Visakhapatnam

A very tragic accident has taken place at Hindustan Shipyard in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. At least 10 people were killed when a heavy crane fell on Hindustan Shipyard Ltd at Visakhapatnam on Saturday.

One person was also reported injured in the accident. Following the tragedy, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has directed the District Collector of Visakhapatnam and the city police officer to take immediate action in the matter of the crane accident.

The heavy crane crashed at the shipyard, causing panic all around. Some people trapped in the rubble were rescued under the rescue and relief operation. The crash also involved a video of a crane falling from the other end of the shipyard. It can be clearly seen in the video that there was panic after the crane fell.

DCP Suresh Babu informed about the incident. He said that after the crane fell in Hindustan Shipyard, a big tragedy has taken place. It left 10 people dead and the injured man has been admitted to hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
