During the daily briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said that India and China are constantly trying to reduce the ongoing tension on the border through military and diplomatic talks. Under these circumstances, neither party should do anything to create tension on the border.

Amid ongoing tensions with China in the eastern Ladakh border region, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Leh-Ladakh and beyond on Friday morning to review the security situation, and China's statement came at the time.
