West Bengal: 800 kg fish caught in fisherman's net, sold for Rs 20 lakh

A rare fish that looked like a small ship and weighed 800 kg was caught. The fishermen of West Bengal were sitting in the water in the Digha area of ​​West Bengal as usual. This rare fish was caught in a fishing net. This type of fish has never been seen in this area before, so crowds of people gathered to see it.

In West Bengal, there are 18 different types of fish, including Brahmins, which are cooked and cooked. Many happy people keep a small pond in their bungalow and raise a variety of fish in it. When this 800 kg fish was sold in the market, there was a kind of competition to buy it. The fish was eventually sold for Rs 20 lakh. This fish is known as Chilshankar. This fish is rarely seen in West Bengal.

The owner of the trawler in which the fish was caught is a native of Orissa. Digha has settled in the area. When he came to the market with this huge black fish, a crowd of foreign tourists had gathered around him to see the fish.

Four or five fishermen tied a thick rope around the fish. The fish found during the lockdown proved to be a lottery for the catcher. He got twenty lakh rupees for this one fish.

The rope was donated to the Mohana Fishers Association. The fish was sold at Rs 2,100 per kg in the market. Most of the fishermen in Digha said that we have never seen such chilshankar fish in this area in the last fifty or sixty years. Some medicines are made from these fish oils and bones.
