Threats from Russia and China in space, Britain facing challenges

New delhi date. 26 July 2020, Sunday

Given the growing risk in space, Britain has decided to increase its capacity to reduce the risk to Russia and China. For this, Britain is going to conduct a large-scale review of foreign, security and defense policies. Defense Secretary Ben Wallace made the announcement on Saturday.

Britain says it has seriously considered Russia's satellite tests, including a missile launch with some weapons. "We are aware of the potential threats posed by missile tests to our national security," Wallace wrote. Weapons such as missiles have been tested by satellite against the peaceful use of space.

"China is also building weapons that can be used in space," Wallace told Reuters. Both countries (Russia and China) are expanding their capabilities. It is clear from the attitude of these two countries that we should also review our policies. Tensions between Russia and Britain have risen sharply in recent months. At the same time, Britain has imposed a number of sanctions on Russia. Britain has accused Russia of rigging last year's election and of trying to hack Corona virus vaccine research.

Britain's relations with China, like those of Russia, have deteriorated. Its relations with China have deteriorated further since the announcement of the termination of the extradition treaty with Hong Kong. Earlier, Prime Minister Boris Jonas broke his 5G contract with Chinese company Huawei. The agreement with the company will expire in the year 2027. China has been doing business in Britain for a long time, from nuclear to rail projects, but now Britain's inclination is towards America.
