New Delhi, dated 12 July 2020, Sunday

Relations between India and the United States are gaining new strength. On this issue, Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar says that not one but four US presidents have been instrumental in strengthening ties with India.

"It has taken six decades for India-US relations to strengthen but now both countries are making up for lost time," he said at an event. Not only President Donald Trump but his three previous presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush and Bill Clinton have understood the importance of strengthening ties with India.

"If you think about Trump and his three predecessors, one thing in common is that all four dignitaries believe that America's relationship with India should be strengthened," Jaishankar said.
