School of Hate: China is poisoning the children of Nepal against India

Shravasti, Ta. 7 July 2020, Tuesday

Until now, Nepal's education system was very similar to India's, but now China is slowly pouring anti-India poison into the minds of school-going children in Nepal. China is also campaigning for this through its volunteer teachers.

So far, Chinese language has reached Mandarin in 136 schools in Nepal. The language is taught in many schools on the border of India and Nepal. The teachers of these schools are also paid by China and these teachers teach the children the lessons of hatred towards India along with the Chinese language.

It is worth mentioning that the relationship between Nepal and India is historically and culturally very strong. Nepal considers India as its big brother. India has helped Nepal in all areas and Nepal also prioritizes its relations with India but now China is looking at these relations.

China is targeting Nepalese schools to destroy the ancient traditions of Nepal and India. China has appointed special teachers to teach its Mandarin language in Nepalese schools. For this, 226 volunteer teachers from China have been deployed in Nepal. So far these teachers have been deployed in 136 private and government run schools. China plans to deploy an average of two teachers in each school.

These teachers teach Chinese language to the students as well as recite Chinese sagas to them. At the same time, hatred towards India is filling the minds of children. These schools include Bhua Naka, Narainapur and Village Development Committee Laxmanpur Vidyalaya on the Indo-Nepal border and many other Nepali schools.

Teaches Chinese to Madhesis

According to Ramesh Kumar, a teacher at Laxmanpur Village Development Committee School in Nepal, most of the children in his school are Madhesi. Two Chinese volunteer teachers were deployed at the school before the lockdown but the study could not take place as the school was closed in the lockdown.

After the schools open, Chinese teachers will teach the students and they are currently in the village. These teachers teach Chinese language as well as work in skill development among the people. It is said that people can easily get a job in China after learning this language.

According to Naveen Kulshreshtha, a government school teacher in Bhuiyan, a Chinese teacher has been posted there. He has only been deployed as a volunteer for one year and teaches only Chinese. Most of the children in this school are residents of mountainous areas of Nepali origin.

Chinese language compulsory in private school

Whether it is Siddharth Vanasthali Institute of Nepal or Ulanus School, Mandarin language teaching has been made compulsory in all these private schools. Teachers who teach this language are paid by the Chinese government. According to Madison Bahadur Lamichhane, principal of Alsace School, two Chinese volunteer teachers have been appointed to teach Mandarin.

Not only that, to promote Mandarin in private schools, the Chinese Embassy also encourages the leading schools there to meet. He has also honored the seventh group of 54 volunteer teachers. A recent meeting between Poudel, president of the Nepal-China Youth Friendship Association, and Simkhada, principal of Shyam Wangfel Higher Secondary School, also put pressure on the school to teach Chinese.

The lure of a job is being offered

Almost all the schools in Nepal are now singing the praises of the culture along with the Chinese language. The children of this school are taught that India is responsible for the underdevelopment of Nepal and what territories India has occupied.

China wants to bring them to the world stage so that all the youth of Nepal get employment. There is also great resentment among Madhesis over this. According to Ramrang Mahto, a Madhesi leader from Bhagwanpur, this is a deliberate move by China and it is hurting the tender feelings of the children.
