Rajnath Singh will also meet Baba Amarnath's Darshan, Deputy Governor Murmu

Today is the second day of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh's visit to Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir. Rajnath Singh visited Baba Barfani along with Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Bipin Rawat, Army Chief Narwane and other officials. The defense minister will then review the security situation at a high-level meeting with Deputy Governor Girish Chandra Murmu and army commanders today.

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh yesterday sent a strong message to China from the Line of Control (LoC) that India was no longer a weak nation. He said that no power in the world could touch even an inch of India's land. If anyone tries to attack India's self-esteem, it will not be tolerated at present and will be prepared to give a scathing response.

Rajnath Singh said discussions were underway to resolve the border dispute. No matter how much progress has been made in the talks so far, the case should be resolved. However no guarantee can be given as to when this case will be resolved

But I need to believe that no power in the world can touch even an inch of India's land. No one can occupy it. There is nothing better than a negotiated settlement. Talks are underway at both the military and diplomatic levels.

Rajnath Singh said that India is the only country in the world that has given a message of peace to the whole world. We have never invaded or occupied any country's land. India has always conveyed the message of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to the whole world.

We want peace. It is our character that we have never tried to harm the self-esteem of any country. But if anyone tries to hurt India's self-esteem, he will be prepared to respond. We have got a Prime Minister like Narendra Modi who can make decisions and has strong will.
