All India Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi's verbal attacks on the issue of construction of the Ram temple remain.

Owaisi, on the one hand, termed PM Modi's decision to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the temple as an insult to the Constitution, while on the other hand, Owaisi said in another statement that the Congress party was with the RSS in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. .

Targeting both the then prime ministers, Owaisi said that it was Rajiv Gandhi who unlocked the Babri Masjid and Narasimha Rao demolished the Babri Masjid under his supervision. The Congress had met the Sangh Parivar inside.

Owaisi has taken a more aggressive stance when the groundbreaking of the Ram temple is scheduled to take place on August 5. On the other hand, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra has retaliated by calling Owaisi a bearded Jinnah.
