PM Modi arrives in Leh to boost army morale amid tensions on China border


Leh, Ta. 3 July 2020, Friday

Tensions are running high between the two countries following a clash between Chinese and Indian forces in the Galvan Valley in Ladakh. Meanwhile, amidst this tense situation, Narendra Modi has suddenly reached the lab. On Friday morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Jawano here. Earlier, only Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat was to be here.

Tensions have been running high on board with China since May and the situation on board is dire. Everyone is shocked by the sudden visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Earlier on Friday, only Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was scheduled to visit Leh, but his schedule was changed on Thursday. After that only Bipin Rawat was going to Leh.


Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Nimuni Forward Post on Friday. Modi also interacted directly with the Army, Air Force and officials. Located at an altitude of 11,000 feet above sea level, the Neemu Post is considered one of the tallest and most dangerous in the world. During the visit, PM Narendra Modi spoke to officials of 14 corps. In addition, CDS met Bipin Rawat and got the status quo. Meanwhile, Lieutenant General VK Joshi of Northern Army Command and Lieutenant General Harinder Singh were also present.
