Leh Airport to be modernized, China fears PM Modi's mission in Ladakh

New delhi date. 7 July 2020, Tuesday

China is scared of Prime Minister Modi's mission in Ladakh. China is deeply concerned about the way the Modi government has accelerated the development of Ladakh. Until the LAC developed the basic structure in Ladakh, it was easy for China to behave as it wished at the LAC, but now the Modi government is developing airports in Ladakh, from roads and bridges. In this way all the moves of China are being thwarted.

China knows and understands that the development of Ladakh is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and now China is worried about this development. Not only the roads and bridges being built in the border area but the full development of Ladakh is a matter of concern for China. In this regard, the Modi government has prepared a detailed plan for the development of Ladakh.

Construction of new roads in Ladakh

New roads are being built in Ladakh and several schemes are underway to promote tourism. The modernization of Leh Airport is part of Prime Minister Modi's same development plan. Kushak Bakula Rimpau is the only airport connecting the whole country with Ladakh. A new terminal building is being constructed at the airport which will be based on the art and culture of Ladakh with modernity. Due to its beauty, Ladakh attracts tourists from all over the world and is visited by thousands of tourists every year. This is why Leh Airport is planned to be built in a very modern way.

Features of Leh's new terminal

Leh's new terminal will be spread over 18,985 square meters and will have a total capacity of 800 passengers. The new airport building will have 18 check-in counters, 8 self-check-in counters as well as 15 lifts and 11 automatic CDs. Not only that, the new terminal building of Leh Airport in India will get special recognition with the same art and culture that China is trying to eradicate from all over the world, including Tibet, the art and culture of Buddhism.

The new terminal will resemble a traditional stupa and a figure of the Himalayas. Signs of Buddhist art and culture will be given a special place at the airport. The roof of the terminal will be shaped like the terrain and landscape mountains of Ladakh and the prayer flags of Ladakh will also be hoisted. Apart from that, Mandala will be installed in retail, check-in and lounge areas which is considered a symbol of the universe according to Buddhism. The Leh airport terminal will be completed next year at a cost of Rs 480 crore.

Chilies hit China

The development of Leh Airport will boost tourism in Ladakh and make the people there self-reliant. At the same time, the spread and spread of Buddhism, which is against the will of China, will increase and this is why oil has spilled in its stomach. With the removal of Article 370, the Central Government declared Ladakh a Union Territory and laid special emphasis on local development as it is an enemy-linked area. When foreign tourists visit Ladakh, China feels the most. Due to India's new policies, the attempt to occupy China has failed and the whole world is aware that not only Ladakh but also Aksai Chin is part of India.

Tourism is the biggest source of employment in Ladakh and it is the livelihood of most of the people there. This is why the government is developing Ladakh as a great location that is diplomatically and strategically important. At present, China is in turmoil for many reasons, not just one. India has surrounded China on all sides. On the one hand, the government is building roads in the border areas, on the other hand, the Swadeshi Abhiyan revolution is gaining momentum in India. China understands that the new India will not allow China's territorial policy to go any further and that is why it is concerned.
