Jaipur, Ta. 13 July 2020, Monday

The Income Tax department has raided the house of Rajiv Arora, a personal confidante of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan's capital Jaipur. Apart from Rajiv Arora, the houses of his associates have also been raided by the income tax department. According to a report, crores of rupees were to be transacted which led to the robbery.

At present, the team of Income Tax Department is present at the residence and offices of Rajiv Arora and his associates and all the papers and documents are being examined. Teams from the Income Tax Department have reached out to these people in other cities including Jaipur and Kota.

During the raid, teams from the Income Tax Department along with the Central Reserve Police Force reached the house of Rajiv Arora, Ashok Gehlot's personal confidante, and his associates. Executive Rajiv Arora plays a huge role in the economic management of the Rajasthan Congress so the political implications of today's raid are being deduced.

Ashok Gehlot's government is in crisis after the rebellion of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress president and deputy CM Sachin Pilot. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is trying his best to save the government and a meeting of the Congress Legislative Party was held at his residence at 10 a.m. for which the party issued a whip.

It is learned that the Chief Minister may also hold a parade of MLAs in front of the media today and if necessary, a list of MLAs will be handed over to the Governor. Sachin Pilot is in Delhi and will not attend the meeting.

In the midst of all this, the main opposition BJP in Rajasthan is also in turmoil. The BJP is fully focused on whatever upheaval is taking place in Rajasthan. BJP is waiting for Sachin Pilot's next step. Many senior BJP leaders have made it clear that Sachin Pilot's revolt is an internal battle of the Congress and the BJP has no hand in it.
