India first squeezed China's 'painful vein' called Hong Kong

New Delhi, July 2, 2020, Thursday

After the bloody conflict between the Indian and Chinese armies in the Galvan Valley, India now seems to have adopted a policy of eye-to-eye response with China on every front.

To teach China a lesson, on the one hand, India has started fighting on the economic front and on the other hand, on the diplomatic front, India has suppressed China's painful vein for the first time. This vein is called Hong Kong.

China is going to implement a new security law in Hong Kong, which is being opposed by the people of Hong Kong. China's decision to grant the status is an internal matter but India is keeping an eye on it.

Rajiv Chandra, India's Permanent Representative to the UN, said, "We have heard statements expressing concern over the recent developments. We hope that the parties concerned will work out a proper settlement."

India made the statement without naming China. However, it is important to note that this is the first time India has made a statement on the Hong Kong issue in the international arena.

At the Human Rights Council meeting, 27 countries surrounded China on the Hong Kong issue. The United States also wants India to make a statement against China on the issue.

Other countries have accused China of persecuting its citizens in the wake of protests against the new law in Hong Kong. Australia, Britain, Canada and Japan, along with the United States, have criticized China.

India has so far refrained from criticizing China on the issue of atrocities against Muslims in China.
