Increased monsoon intensity in North India, rain alert with thunderstorms in many areas

The weather is constantly changing and the monsoon is gaining momentum across the country. The situation has already worsened in many states due to heavy rains. In the midst of all this, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed fears of severe storms and hurricanes in some states of northern India and especially in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. Not only this, rain alert has also been issued in some areas.

The condition of many areas in Uttarakhand is bad due to rains. The Badrinath Dham road has also been closed following a landslide caused by heavy rains.

Rainfall amid thunderstorms According to the latest update of the Indian Meteorological Department, thundershowers are expected in Kaithal, Narwana, Jhajjar and Jind areas of Haryana.

The meteorological department has also forecast thunderstorms along with rains in these areas. Areas like Mathura, Barsana, Hathras in UP are forecast to receive rains with strong winds.

According to the meteorological department, the record of rainfall in Haryana may be broken. This time the region has received much higher than average rainfall even in the pre-monsoon. In Haryana, the first Sunday of July started with torrential rains. The meteorological department has forecast above-average rainfall in Haryana this monsoon. It may be mentioned that Haryana has been receiving much less than average rainfall for the last one decade.

Red alert issued in so many areas

According to the meteorological department, heavy rains are expected from Bihar to some parts of Maharashtra. A red alert has been declared in some districts of Gujarat and Bihar. It has also rained in some parts of Delhi to relieve people from the heat.

Badrinath National Highway closed

The Badrinath National Highway has been closed in Uttarakhand due to rains and landslides. The meteorological department also forecast thunderstorms in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
