Dictator Kim Jong Un gifted a pistol to the generals, telling them about the war

Pyongyang, Ta. 28 July 2020, Tuesday

North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has once again warned the world. On the anniversary of the end of the Korean War, Kim said there would be no more war because the country was endowed with nuclear weapons. On the "victory day" of the war, which took place 67 years ago today, Kim honored the chief commanding officers of the armed forces with pistols. On July 27, 1953, the war between South Korea and North Korea ended with a ceasefire without any peace agreement. The war began when North Korea attacked pro-US South Korea.

The North Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) released a photo of the July 27 ceremony in which Kim was seen with military officials. According to a report, on the occasion of the anniversary, dictator Kim said, "We no longer have to face a war because the country's nuclear weapons guarantee its security and future."

The dictator went on to warn the world in one way or another that North Korea had developed nuclear weapons to gain the power to prevent one more armed conflict. We are now able to defend ourselves from the pressure of imperialist and hostile forces and any kind of military threat.

Kim Jong Un's remarks come at a time when Washington is pushing for talks between the United States and North Korea. The United States has offered to ease sanctions on North Korea in exchange for halting its nuclear program. North Korea is facing a number of international sanctions. Kim and US President Donald Trump first met in Singapore in 2018, but talks have not progressed since.
