New delhi date. 26 July 2020, Sunday

On the completion of 21 years of Kargil Victory Day, the country's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh paid tributes to the brave soldiers and martyrs of the Indian Army for their indomitable courage. The Defense Minister, CDS and the Chiefs of the three Armies will pay tributes at the National War Memorial in Delhi today as the day is celebrated in honor of the soldiers who were martyred in the Kargil war.

"On the 21st anniversary of the Kargil victory, I would like to salute the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces who faced the enemy in the most challenging situation in the history of the world," Defense Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted.

"I am also grateful to those who, despite being incapable of war, continued to serve the country in their own way and set an example to follow," he tweeted.

In another tweet, the defense minister wrote, "Kargil Victory Day is in fact a celebration of India's glorious tradition of outstanding military service, exemplary heroism and sacrifice." The unwavering courage and patriotism of our Armed Forces has ensured that India is safe and secure.

It is to be mentioned that the bravery and prowess shown by the Indian Army on July 26, 21 years ago is unmatched in history. We can only estimate how difficult it will be to capture the mountains by killing Pakistani soldiers from the peaks occupied by the enemy. That is why on this day the whole country salutes the immortal soldiers who were martyred in Kargil. In his memory, the country celebrates victory today.
