Corona patient to be given cashless treatment by hospitals: Irda

New Delhi, July 17, 2020, Friday

The number of corona patients in the country is increasing by leaps and bounds. The number of patients in India has crossed 10 lakh.

However, people who get sick are also worried about the hefty bills of private hospitals. Despite the media claims, there are also cases of hospitals and insurance companies reluctant to provide cashless treatment.

In such a situation, the Insurance Regulatory Fund Development Authority (IRDA), which now controls insurance companies, has urged Corona's positive insurers to provide cashless treatment.

The IRDA has urged hospitals to ensure that co-positive insurers have access to cashless options during treatment. It is possible that corona patients will get relief after this decision.

"Insurers who are not getting such facility can lodge a complaint and action will be taken against them," Irda said.
