Washington, Ta. Thursday, July 23, 2020

The total number of cases is reaching four million, with 2,600 new cases of corona being reported every hour in the United States. It took 98 days for the number of corona cases to reach one million after the first case of corona was reported in the United States on January 21. It took 43 days for the number of cases to reach two million.

While the figure of three million was taken in just 27 days. But with an average of 43 new cases being registered every minute, it has only taken 16 days for the number of Corona cases to reach three to four million.

Of the 20 countries where the epidemic is most prevalent, the United States ranks second in the number of cases per capita, excluding Chile, with 10,000 to 120 cases of infection. With 143,000 deaths, the United States ranks sixth in the world with a mortality rate of 4.4 per 10,000 people.

There are no signs of a slowdown in the spread of new infections in the world. Corona infections are spreading the fastest in the United States and South Africa. Corona has infected 2.2 million people in Brazil and caused 83,000 deaths. More than one million people in India are infected with the corona and an average of 40,000 new cases are reported every day.

Meanwhile, two Middle Eastern countries, Bahrain and Qatar, have the highest per capita corona infections in the world. With a population of 2.8 million, there are 1,07,000 cases of corona and 163 deaths in Qatar.

In Bahrain, with a population of 1.6 million, there are 37,000 cases of corona and 130 deaths. In the Arab world, on the other hand, the Koro epidemic has caused the economy to shrink by 5.7 per cent this year, pushing millions into poverty, the UN report said.

The UN's Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia said a 13 per cent contraction in the Arab economy would cost the region a total of 2 152 billion. 14.3 million people will be pushed into the abyss of poverty. As a result, the total number of poor will be 115 million. Which is a quarter of the population of the Arabs.
