China is going to give 4 attack drones to Pakistan amid border dispute with India at LAC

China says it is preparing to supply four armed drones to Pakistan to protect the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and the People's Liberation Army Navy's new base at the port of Gwadar. In Gwadar, most of the southwestern province of Balochistan, China's investment of āŠķી 60 billion in Belt and Road Initiative projects is considered top notch.

It is part of Beijing's plan to provide two systems (two drones and one ground station in each) that will jointly produce the military version 48 GJ-2 of the Wing Long-2. It is designed in China for use by the Pakistan Air Force. China is already selling reconnaissance and strike drone Wing Lung-2 to several countries in Asia and West Asia and has become the largest exporter of armed drones.

According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute's (SIPRI) weapons acquisition database, China delivered 163 UAVs to more than a dozen countries, including Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, between 2008 and 2018.

Unlike the United States, which pursues an elaborate process of determining and regulating the use of its high-end weapons, it makes no sense to China.

Equipped with 12 air-to-surface missiles capable of attacking China, the drone is currently being used by UAE-backed forces in Libya against the Turkish-backed government in Tripoli with limited success.

Clashes between Indian and Chinese forces have been raging at the LAC in Ladakh for about two months. On June 6, the two countries' armies agreed to withdraw but China is not implementing it. This was followed by a bloody clash between the two armies on June 15, followed by talks between the foreign ministers of the two countries and a marathon meeting between the army commanders on June 22.

Since the June 15 incident, India has deployed its special forces along the 3,488-km-long Line of Actual Control (LAC) to counter any attack on the western, central or eastern sector of China's People's Liberation Army (PLA). At the same time, the Indian Army has been directed to respond aggressively to any attack by the PLA on the LAC.
