Ashok Gehlot calls meeting, Raghuveer Meena can be the state president instead of the pilot

- The final decision will be taken at the assembly meeting and those who do not attend the meeting will have to wash their hands of the party membership.

Jaipur, Ta. 13 July 2020, Monday

Ashok Gehlot's government has been shaken after the rebellion of Rajasthan Pradesh Congress president and deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot and the political crisis in Rajasthan has intensified. According to Sachin Pilot, he has the support of about 30 MLAs and all of them are currently out of Jaipur with Sachin Pilot.

Ashok Gehlot, on the other hand, is trying to save his government and bring his group together. A meeting of the Congress Legislative Party has been held in Jaipur today in which the whole picture will become clear.

According to a report, if Sachin Pilot and his supporters do not attend the meeting, the party may take action against them. In it, all can be removed from the party and at the same time a new state president of Rajasthan will be elected. The Congress party is likely to make Raghuvari Meena the state president.

According to Pratap Singh, Transport Minister in the Rajasthan government, if Sachin Pilot goes with the BJP, he is committing a sin. They (Congress) will not allow the BJP to take the oath of government and their government is in the majority, they will show up at 10 o'clock. Congress leader Venugopal has also reached Jaipur today. Apart from that, three Delhi leaders are present in Jaipur and are monitoring the situation.

The picture will be clear in today's meeting

The political drama that has been going on for the last few days took the form of a climax on Sunday. The central leadership present in Delhi had to take action as political swords were drawn between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot.

The three leaders reached Jaipur from Delhi and held a meeting with Ashok Gehlot and other MLAs. The final decision will be taken at the assembly meeting to be held at 10:30 am and those who do not attend the meeting will have to wash their hands of party membership.

Will Sachin Pilot join BJP?

Annoyed with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot is expected to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. Sachin Pilot on Sunday met former Congress ally and BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia and their meeting lasted for about 40 minutes.

After that, there was speculation that Sachin Pilot would also join the BJP. He may join the party today in the presence of BJP president JP Nadda but nothing has come of it.

30 MLAs support Sachin Pilot

The Rajasthan Congress is divided into two factions and each is making its own claim in these circumstances. According to Sachin Pilot's group, he has the support of 30 MLAs and others may join him.

Very soon these MLAs may submit their resignations to the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly. The Congress has been denying the allegations but has remained vigilant as only 75 Congress MLAs attended the meeting held at Ashok Gehlot's residence on Sunday night.

Find out what Rajasthan's number game is

In Rajasthan, the Congress and its allies have an absolute majority and the BJP is far away. Even if some MLAs change their party, there is no big crisis for the Rajasthan government. There are a total of 200 seats in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly out of which the Congress has 107 MLAs and apart from that it has the support of some independent MLAs. The BJP has only 72 MLAs in this regard. The Ashok Gehlot government could be in trouble if 30 MLAs defect, as claimed by Sachin Pilot.

A fight across so many issues

In fact, the battle between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot has been going on since the Rajasthan Assembly elections. But the controversy has deepened in recent times when Ashok Gehlot has accused the BJP of overthrowing the government and at the same time warned some traitors within the party. A group was formed to probe him and sent a notice to Sachin Pilot for questioning.

Although such a notice was also sent to the Chief Minister, the controversy escalated thereafter. Apart from this, Sachin Pilot's term as state president is coming to an end and by-elections and panchayat elections are also coming up in Rajasthan.
