As soon as the news of Vikas Dubey's arrest was received, the mother requested the government to spare her life

Gangster Vikas Dubey, the main accused in the murder of eight police officers in Kanpur, has been nabbed from the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. He surrendered to the temple premises in a pre-planned manner to avoid an encounter.

Following Vikas 'arrest, his mother has requested the government to spare Vikas' life. Vikas's mother said that he used to go to the Mahakal temple in Ujjain every year to see and worship God.

"Bhole Baba has saved my son's life," he added. He also requested that his life be spared.

Giving information about Vikas' arrest, the collector of Ujjain said that Vikas was going to Dubey Mahakal temple when he was identified by the security officials there. He immediately informed the police.

Eight police personnel, including the CO, were killed in a clash between Kanpur gangster Vikas Dubey during the encounter. The assailants surrounded the police force and opened fire indiscriminately, killing eight people.

Police in several states, including UP, have been searching for Vikas Dubey since then. Meanwhile, it was revealed that Vikas was hiding in the Delhi NCR, but he escaped again by evading the police.
