A gas leak at a pharmaceutical company in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam this morning has left two employees dead and four others in critical condition. The tragedy took place at a pharma company called Sainar Life Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City in the Parvada area of Visakhapatnam.
Visakhapatnam District Collector Vinay Chand and SP RK Meena along with other officials rushed to the spot and the situation is under control. Senar Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd. The situation was brought under control as the employees present there were involved in an accident due to a benzymedeloz gas leak at and the gas did not spread elsewhere.
This is the second gas leak in Visakhapatnam in two months. Earlier, a gas leak at LG Polymers in Gopalapatnam area left 12 people dead and more than 500 hospitalized. However, officials say a styrene gas leak at LG Polymers is fatal but not as dangerous as benzymedeloz.
