New delhi date. 4 June 2020, Thursday

The armies of India and China have retreated a little in the Galvan Valley at Ladakh. According to a report, the Chinese army has retreated 2 km and the Indian army has retreated 1 km from its position. The armies of the two countries had been standing firm against each other in the Finger Four area for several weeks.

Tensions have been running high between Indian and Chinese forces over the past few days in the Finger Four area of the Galvan Valley. The Pangong area there is the most controversial. The next meeting on June 6 is expected to focus on Pangong. For weeks, Chinese troops have been stationed in the Finger Four area under Indian control.

Important meeting between the two countries on 6 June

The Chinese army is trying to assert itself in the border area of Ladakh and the Indian army is also facing it resolutely. Talks are also underway between the two sides but the friction is not over yet. Because of this once again the two indigenous armies are going to hold talks and a meeting is proposed for 6 June. The meeting will be attended by officers of the rank of Lieutenant General of the Armed Forces of both the countries.

This meeting is very important as there is an ongoing dispute between India and China. A delegation of 14 corps commanders from India at Leh will lead the meeting. This meeting is considered very important for ending the crisis on the border.

The controversy has been going on for several weeks

The controversy has been raging in eastern Ladakh since early May. China opposed India's ongoing road construction at LAC in Ladakh, and on May 5, the two armies clashed on Pangong Lake. Jawans were wounded in the clashes and subsequently China increased the deployment of troops there with tent-pulling activism. India retaliated strongly against China's move at the LAC and the Indian Army was also deployed there.
