Russia rejects China's request to supply S-400 and assault rifles to India

Russia has expressed its commitment to India despite the ongoing tensions between India and China. Russia will not accept China's appeal. It will soon complete the ongoing defense deal with India.

The agreement was reached during the recent visit of Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh to Russia, and Russia is ready to deliver AK-203 assault rifle, Ka-226T light utility chopper and missile system S-400 to India within the stipulated time frame.

According to the English newspaper The Hindu, India has told Russia that it no longer has to delay defense deals. Russia has assured India that it will deliver in the next few months.

Russia has also told Defense Minister Rajnath Singh that all defense deals will be completed on time. According to reports, during the visit, Rajnath Singh spoke to Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yurya Borisov and assured India of a defense deal.

India will get S-400 by the end of 2021

Rajnath Singh also returned from Russia and said that Russia has assured that the existing agreement will be continued and some will be taken forward soon.

Sources in the missile system S-400 deal say that its delivery will start at the scheduled time in late 2021 and it will be difficult to move the deal forward.

According to the report, there has been little progress in the deal for the AK-203 rifle, which was stalled in terms of price. The deal is for more than 7.5 lakh rifles.

One lakh will be imported and Indo-Russia Rifle Pvt Ltd (IRRPL) will manufacture 6.71 lakh rifles at Korwa in Uttar Pradesh as a joint venture.

Although the deal for the 200KA-226T light utility chopper is still pending, Russia has promised to resolve it as soon as possible.
