Regular passenger train not to run till August 12

In view of the rising cases of Corona virus, Indian Railways has decided not to run regular passenger trains before August. Railways has issued a circular regarding it. Railways has said that no regular passenger train or mail express train will be run till August 12, 2020.

At the same time, the railways has canceled every ticket of passengers who have booked tickets for regular train service from June 1 to August 12. Railway ticket money will be refunded to the passengers who have taken the ticket during this date.

Earlier, in its May 13 order, the Railway Board had said that regular train bookings would be canceled till June 30 and passengers would get a full refund. Now that the train cancellation date has been extended, the refund facility has also been extended to August 12. In the meantime, special Rajdhani trains running from May 12 and special mail-express trains running from June 1 will run as before.
