Rahul Gandhi launches campaign against petrol-diesel price hike

The common man is in trouble because of the corona virus crisis in the country and the trade that has stalled in the lockdown. In the midst of all this, petrol and diesel prices have been rising every day for the last three weeks. Now there are protests from the Congress party on the issue. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a campaign on Monday morning. It has appealed to speak out against the rising prices of petrol and diesel.

Rahul Gandhi shared a video and tweeted that let's join the #SpeakUpAgainstFuelHike Campaign. At 10 a.m. on Monday, the Congress party is staging a nationwide protest against rising petrol and diesel prices.

Apart from this, all the Congress leaders, the Chief Minister and other office bearers will upload videos on their social media on this issue. The Congress party had done the same before and on the issue of China.

In a video that Rahul Gandhi tweeted on Monday, he said that amid the Koro crisis and the deteriorating situation with China, the government has left the common man to its own devices. "People do not have jobs and the central government has been raising prices every day for 21 days," it said.

Earlier, Congress president Sonia Gandhi had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi on the issue. Sonia Gandhi had appealed to the government to reverse the price hike as people are facing employment crisis at the moment.

Petrol and diesel prices were also hiked in Delhi on Monday. In Delhi, petrol has gone up by 5 paise to Rs 80.43 and diesel by 13 paise to Rs 80.53.
