No one should mix bitterness in India-Nepal relations: Nepal's foreign minister

Kathmandu, Monday 29 June 2020

Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who has been inciting anti-India sentiment at the behest of the Chinese Communist Party, has become completely isolated. Even his own foreign minister has said that no one should mix bitterness in India-Nepal relations.

A day earlier, KP Sharma Oli had blamed India for his failure and said a conspiracy was being hatched in New Delhi and Kathmandu to oust him.

Recently, KP Sharma Oli tried to derail the good relations between the two countries by including Indian territories in the new map of Nepal.

Meanwhile, Nepal's Foreign Minister Pradeep Gawli on Monday said the border dispute should not affect other dimensions of India-Nepal relations.

"The government is concerned about the multilateral relationship with India and the border dispute will not spoil our relationship," Gawli was quoted as saying by the Kathmandu Post in a meeting in the National Assembly.

This statement of the External Affairs Minister is being considered very important as a day ago Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had said that India was trying to remove him from power due to the inclusion of Kalapani, Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura in the new map of Nepal.

"All stakeholders should contribute to bring positivity to bilateral relations," Gawli said. No one should mix bitterness in a relationship. I appeal to everyone to make a positive contribution. ''

"We are in touch with India," he said. We are committed to resolving questions through dialogue. I hope we solve it. "

Gavli said, "This controversy has arisen in history and we are still struggling with it.
