Modi government's scheme will be launched today, you will get an opportunity to earn by staying at home

After the implementation of lockdown across the country, migrant workers have returned home in large numbers and finding employment at home has become a major crisis for them. Under these circumstances, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch a scheme today, i.e. on Saturday.

The Prime Minister will today launch a scheme called Garib Kalyan Rozgar Abhiyan in Bihar through video conferencing. The digital launch of the scheme will also be attended by Chief Ministers of five other states and some Union Ministers.

Launching in 116 districts

The campaign has been selected for more than 25,000 migrant laborers from a total of 116 districts of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha and includes 27 aspiring districts. It is estimated that about two-thirds of the migrant workers in such districts will be included in the scheme.

Villages in 116 districts of six states will join the program through service centers and agricultural science centers following the rules of social distance to follow the Kovid-19 global epidemic.

125 days employment

The 125-day campaign focuses on 25 different types of work to provide employment to migrant workers and to build infrastructure in rural areas of the country. The scheme will be coordinated by 12 different Ministries.

- Water conservation and water storage works

- Construction of wells

- Plantation work

- Gardening

- Work of Anganwadi Centers

- Work on rural road and border road

- Works coming under Indian Railways

- Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Urban Mission

- Laying of fiber optical cable under Bharat Net

- Work of PM Kusum scheme

- Work done under Water Life Mission

- PM Energy Ganga Project

- Livelihood training under Krishi Vigyan Kendra

- Work coming under District Mineral Fund

- Solid and liquid waste management work

- Work of Farm Pond

- Construction of sheds for animals

- Construction of sheds for sheep and goats

- Construction of sheds for poultry rearing
