Modi Cabinet approves two ordinances, 'One Country One Market' policy for farmers

The Union Cabinet meeting was held once again today amid the Corona virus crisis. The meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, was attended by several senior ministers. Two ordinances have been approved in this meeting.

It has approved amendments to the Essential Commodities Act, APAC Act. From now on farmers will be able to sell their crops directly and there will be one country one market for farmers in the country. At this meeting the period of storage of farm products has come to an end and can only be done under very necessary conditions.

It was announced in a Rs 20 lakh crore package. Recently, the second term of the Modi government has completed one year. Under these circumstances, a meeting of the Union Cabinet was held on Monday in which some major decisions were taken regarding the MSME sector and farmers. On the one hand, the number of Corona cases in the country is on the rise and at the same time some concessions are being given under Unlock 1 at a time when all eyes were on this meeting of the Union Cabinet.

At a meeting on Monday, the central government changed the definition of MSME sector and now it has been decided that a farmer in the country can sell his crop in any market and in any state.
