Kashmiri Pandit Sarpanch shot dead in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir

A Kashmiri Pandit sarpanch was shot dead by militants on Monday evening in south Kashmir's Anantnag district. However, no terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the killings. The search operation was carried out after the entire area was cordoned off after the incident.

The army's anti-terror operation is believed to be behind the killings. Terrorists are being massacred in army operations, so the militants are now preying on Kashmiri Pandits among the locals.

The sarpanch's name was Ajay Kumar Pandit, a Kashmiri Pandit who was a Congress worker was shot dead by terrorists on the way. Ajay Pandit was shifted to Anantnag Hospital after the attack but was pronounced dead by a doctor.

Security forces are conducting an anti-terror operation in which five terrorists were killed on Sunday.

One of the five was reported to be the commander of the terrorist Mujahideen. After which a Kashmiri Pandit was shot dead by terrorists on Monday.

A search operation was conducted in the entire area to find the terrorists. Condemning the incident, the Congress said that Ajay was a dedicated Congress worker.

The terrorists have committed this cowardly act. A case has been registered, police said. An investigation into the case has been launched. Trying to find out the reason behind this incident.
