New Delhi, June 11, 2020, Thursday

Corona's transition is on the rise after the lockdown rules were relaxed but the Indian cricket board seems keen to play in the IPL this year by any means.

"We are ready to host the IPL and we are considering all options to host the tournament this year, even if we have to play the IPL in an empty stadium," Cricket Board chairman Sourav Ganguly said. Because cricket fans, players, broadcasters, sponsors are also looking forward to this tournament. Cricketers from India and abroad have also shown readiness to play in the IPL. We are optimistic.

The IPL was scheduled to be played from March 29. However, due to Corona, the event had to be postponed. However, now that the T20 World Cup is not being played, India may get a chance to host during this period.

On the other hand, the players of Mumbai Indians have started the practice. Star cricketers including Rohit Sharma, who lives in Mumbai, have joined it.

Sri Lanka and UAE have also proposed to host the IPL.
