Indian Railways is moving towards privatization. Railways is now going to start 150 private trains. This was stated by Railway Minister Piyush Goyal in an online program on Monday. Railways is now going to start 150 passenger trains in the private sector and interested companies have been invited for the scheme, he said. Railways is ready to lease rail routes and parcel trains for business.

The private sector can collaborate in many ways, he said. I am going to lease new routes. In the sense that I am going to say this, private companies should identify the routes on which they want to start train service. Freight work in railways has reached 95% of last year.

"We are also ready to invest in a new line with you if you wish," he said. We are ready to lease traffic routes. We are willing to lease parcel trains. So there are many opportunities for the private sector. The private sector can consider an elevated corridor along the National Highway as it will not be a challenge to buy land.
