How powerful is China's military? Military officials accused of corruption

Beijing, June 21, 2020, Sunday

The question naturally arises as to whether the Chinese military, which has been taking an aggressive stance against India on the border, is really as strong as the world believes.

In 1962, Indian troops fought valiantly against the Chinese army, but the Indian troops lacked equipment and fell heavily.

Today, in 2020, the situation has changed. The Gulwan controversy has shown that the Indian Army is capable of giving a scathing response. On the other hand, the Chinese Army has also embraced corruption.

It was Vietnam that crushed the Chinese army. China lost 65,000 troops in the war in 1979. It is believed that by the time Xi Jinping came to power in 2012, the Chinese army was in a state of disarray due to corruption. Two vice chairmen had to be fired. One of them was accused of taking bribes.

Jinping ousted more than 100 generals by making drastic changes in the leadership of the authorities, which also increased the number of opponents of Jinping.

For the same reason, the Chinese army has so far avoided direct fighting. However, in the Galvan Valley, the armies of the two countries came face to face.
